Well, here I am! A young Mum living in England and trying to find ways to combine motherhood with creativity. Words and Patterns refers to my love of writing and of crafting (particularly needlework). Ultimately I would like to become a work-at-home-mum and balance my duties in the home with some occupation where I can express my creativity, so this blog is a starting point on that journey and will be a checkpoint on the way.As a Catholic from birth, my faith plays a huge role in my life. Much of my writing flows out of reflections on God and religion. The question of how I can live out an ancient faith in a modern and modernizing world is ever present, but over the years and as I have been writing about it, I have found the Church to be like a rock in a mountain stream, one constant that remains while all around it is rushing at such a pace.
